April site showcase

It has been a whole year since I last posted a showcase of Pixie websites. Time flies! The good news is I have been secretly squirrelling away lots of great examples and its time to share them with you. This is a great post for me to end on before the results of the Pixie auction in a few days time and to make it extra special I am showcasing many more sites than usual.

What a really diverse and excellent collection. Some really talented people using Pixie. Thanks, for putting mine up there Scott, although I might add that I recently started blocking Internet explorer users from it for standards compliant reasons. May fix and lift the ban for IE8 or above if I find time. Loving the work in this post. Nice job everyone. :)

Agreed, this is what its all about! I really enjoyed finding and putting this list together. Lovely work all round. Your site had to go in Tony - its a great example of an advanced theme! :)

tets, badbehaviour is used in Pixie by default to prevent spam. Adding a captcha isn't the only way to stop spam. Combining a captcha and badbehaviour could more or less mean next to zero spam but your visitors are "Challenged" Every time they want to add comments to your site. Bad captchas are a hell of a good way of limiting feedback to your site. Many users dislike them intensely because they don't understand the problem that they try to solve. I'm not a big fan of captchas myself, they are not strictly necessary in Pixie but captchas would add an even higher level of spam protection.
